Life has been so sweet and my Jesus is so good and I really just felt like giving you all an update on my life through pictures. Cool? cool.
As a college student at TAMUCC, I go to school like right on the beach. I’ve lived in Corpus my whole life, but never appreciated the beach very much. Now, I’m going once a week to the beach. A few weeks ago, I woke up way too early on a Saturday and watched sunrise with my boyfriend and a group of my friends. Even on cloudy days, the beach is beautiful. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but being at the water always makes me think of the lyrics from “Sinking Deep”
Your love so deep
is washing over me
Your face is all I see
You are my everything
Speaking of sunrises, here are more pictures from sunrise!! Do you ever do something that just lights your soul on fire? Like, you go do the thing and you’re just like “dang. I feel more alive, more at peace with myself, more in tune with Jesus.” Well, that’s me every time I go watch a sunrise. Something about waking up before the crack of dawn and praising Jesus and watching Him paint the sky and light up the world really gets me.
I’ve finally found my favorite park in Corpus Christi. It’s Ropes Park, and it has a great are to set up two or three hammocks, and then it also has a little beach if you travel down the park. This park is one of the most beautiful places to watch a sunrise (or a sunset). All of these pictures are from the beach area, but all the pics from my sunrise section of this post are also from ropes park.
Something I’ve been learning lately is that I love adventure. I love walking and hammocking and getting outdoors. I love being by the water. And I love where I live. Get outdoors, seek an adventure, and find some beauty in your surroundings!!!
The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork – Psalm 19:1
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. – Psalm 96:11-12
But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind. – Job 12:7-10
